He's Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW so much has happened since my last post! Jonathan has arrived and taken over our lives in ways I could not have imagined. I'm so completely in love and the happiest I have ever been without a doubt. I keep telling him he is so loved and incredibly wanted, I just wish he could understand me! I'm really trying to savor every minute of what is happening in our life right now because this is the good stuff....

His arrival:
After a lovely Thanksgiving feast at Susan's with friends and family on both sides we were enjoying a night in to watch the Aggies play Texas for the last time (in the foreseeable future) when things started to take an interesting turn. I had not felt that great but just thought it was the uncomfortableness of third trimester pregnancy when Bella got sprayed by a skunk. Eeeew! Luckily Sharon was there and helped Donald bathe her as I sat back and watched trying to not be sick from the smell. Surprisingly, they got most of it out and I went to bed early. Friday morning I woke up eand immediately told Donald we needed to head home a day early so I could sleep in my own bed, I did not feel well at all but again wrote it off as just being uncomfortable. Managed to get a little black Friday shopping in at Petsmart though for anti skunk shampoo, FYI- PetSmart is not crowded on Black Friday if you are looking to shop with no lines day after thanksgiving!
Made it back to Little Elm at around 3pm and tried to take a nap with Donald, with no luck I got up and looked on the Internet to see if my discomfort was normal, it confirmed everything that I was experiencing was perfectly normal and I was not in labor. I called Sharon reluctantly and cancelled our dinner plans and decided a good cry was in order and my mom called, bad timing. She suggested labor and I said no, that the internet said so ;)

I went in the bedroom to wake Donald and told him that I cancelled dinner and didn't feel well when surprise.....my water broke! Ok this was it.........but my hair was wet and I didn't have a bag packed and I hadn't shopped for hospital pj's...Jonathan did not care he was coming and he let me know it every 3-5 minutes at this point. Between drying my hair, tears, rolling around the floor to alleviate my contractions we were about ready to go. We were out the door and headed to hospital. Donald was so calm and making everything better for me, as usual. We arrived and I bolted for a wheel chair and headed up to delivery. I remember crying as he pushed me through the halls and people jumping out of the way, there was no hiding the fact that I was very pregnant and in labor. I guess this was kind of like the movies after all! Our nurse was waiting for us in the hallway, Allison from Bombay- I could write a whole blog entry about her. She ended up being great but we may have butted heads in the beginning. A couple of hours with severe pain, pain meds that made feel drunk and unable to talk clearly, 1 epidural sent from God, and about 30 minutes of pushing and our baby was here. Oh happy day!

Now I'll post a couple of pictures from the hospital and some of my favorites when we got home. I can't believe it's been over two weeks!!!! I have to also say how thankful I am for all of my family and friends. My mom for spending so much time with us and helping me out, Susan, Haley & Josh for making our house all ready to bring him home and all of their love & time. Sharon & Zsolt for being my personal shoppers while I was in the hospital (sorry it had to be at Motherhood) and all of our wonderful friends who dropped by the hospital, Tara, Tabby, Britney,Levi, Michelle, Jenny, Cory, Cameron, Joseph- Love you all!
