Turns out life as we know it really is over or just beginning...

Well it has been a while since I have posted bc I have a baby!!!! Man does he suck up every minute of the day. I don't mind one single bit though, I will drop anything for this bald toothless little man! I have to admit one of my least favorite things about being pregnant was women everywhere telling me my life was going to change, I would smile politely but inside I would be stewing that who does this lady think she is, does she think I'm an idiot? Well I get it now. I knew my life was going to change but I had no idea just how much. I didn't know that when I take trips to the grocery store I would feel like I was in a foreign country where I can't speak the language (I know what that feels like). I had no idea that I would cry like a baby when I went to dinner with my sweet husband without the baby for the first time even though he was in the best of hands (nana). I did not realize that I would look at everyone sitting at the bar and immediately peg them for irresponsible alocoholics (why?). I certainly did not think I would be ok with my mom spending 1 night and 2 full days a week with us for the forseeable future (love you mom!)

I did know that I would without a doubt love him more than life itself but I didn't realize everything else that I could do before baby with my eyes closed suddenly would feel like taking the SAT's while infected with the flu. I finally bought a book called, Girlfriends Guide to Surviving the First Year of Motherhood, which has drastically helped me to not feel like I am Grade A CA-RA-ZY. I will recommend this book to all new mothers and will be gifting it on an as needed basis!

Now to sum up the holidays, instead of typing how fun and great it was I'll post pics with captions, way more fun that way!

First we had a photoshoot at the house! He was soooooo cute and sweet and did great, we had to keep the house at about 80 degrees so we could get some good ones of him in his bday suit and feed him lots so he was a happy baby but that seemed to do the trick! Here are some of my favorites:

And our Christmas Card where we compare him to Jesus...no pressure or anything Jonathan! JK ;) It's funny though how all of the Christmas Songs and Hymns made us weepy because they are about a baby which makes us think of Jonathan even though they clearly about the birth of Christ.

Next came Christmas....we hosted at our house, even though I was hardly a host. I don't even remember that much of it. I know I enjoyed my family so much for all of their help. I am so appreciative to my sister, my mom, Susan, Haley, Josh & Zsolt for being so flexible and helfpul!

Some of my very favorite people in the world came to Texas to meet Jonathan (Nancy, Danny & Rob) and we decided to sneak to my moms and suprise them when they arrived. So much fun. I still cannot get over how much I had to pack for one little tiny baby!

Nancy was sooooo excited about Bath Time!

                                              Time for a Margarita!
Happy New Year, PJ's on before 9!
                                                                        LOVE LOVE LOVE

Shout out to Danny for taking some great pics! Ok he is not letting me blog anymore today, I'll try to get better at posting!

One more pic...my favorite so far!

TO SEE OR NOT TO SEE......SANTA

I wrote this on 12/22 but forgot to post but it's funny so here it is:

So...I really tried to make Jonathan's first Christmas extra special by starting out with taking him to see Santa or at least get a cute picture. The plan was in and out of Stonebriar mall during the day while people are supposed to be working. Sharon and my mom were still staying with me and helping out so I summoned them to go with me and make this happen. Good idea right???  WRONG.

We were about 2 hrs behind schedule and finally left the house around noon. I dropped them off at the door with the baby and went to find a parking spot in the ridiculously crowded parking lot. Apparently no one works in Frisco on Dec. 20th. I finally found one in the last row and walked as fast as I could to the entrance. I was expecting to see them right when I walked in but nooooo they were no where to be seen. I could feel the blood drain from my face and started to get the shakes. I dug for my phone which I forgot and was just about to start screaming their names when I heard my sister laugh...thankfully. They were talking to some ladies and had stepped to the side. Once I decided not to have a heart attack we continued operation see Santa. We found the Santa set up and what do you know.......Santa was about to go on lunch. About this time I remembered I really don't like this mall, it's too crowded so we left. Second Stop....Willow Bend. Would you believe this Santa eats lunch too?? We decided we had better eat too and had some chick fil A and then decided Operation See Santa was a bust and we were throwing in the towel. Let's face it Jonathan doesn't care and with photoshop we can get the picture!

Don't listen to my mom or Sharon if they say this is an exagerration of any kind! I sure hope outings get easier and mommy gets less nervous.

This adorable picture below counts since he is wearing santa's hat:
